Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings is a real-time strategy video game developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft. Released in 1999 for Microsoft Windows and Macintosh, it is the second game in the Age of Empires series. The Age of Kings is set in the Middle Ages and contains thirteen playable civilizations. Players aim to gather resources, which they use to build towns, create armies, and defeat their enemies. There are five historically based campaigns, which conscript the player to specialized and story-backed conditions, as well as three additional single-player game modes; multiplayer is also supported.

Put so many hours into this game, I loved the strategy of it. Sometimes the population cap felt like a hinderance but just meant you had to focus on your balance of growth & expansion

Im starting to wonder if I am good at these games? *Looks at time played* Oh, I still don't know if I am good, but I've played for over 100 hours.
Well, this game adds better story explanation, better unit creation and better battle structure. This game became legacy. So much so that when the pandemic hit, the game servers almost crashed because of how many people wanted to play it again.

I didn't play this much, but I loved when I could play it at my cousin's house, or even watch him play it. I loved the graphics, the planning and the cheat codes.

#1 in the series 💯 this game is amazing AND the fact they did an HD remake stays it all. I have spend so many nights only to get my civilization crushed, you may not have heard because Winners write history. 10/10 would fight to be defeated again

This game is still going strong. They are still putting out updates. My brothers and I play almost every Thursday night. I am not very good, but its a game that will always be fun to play with people
