I came here to chew bubble gum and play video games, and I got some bubblegum right here. You are most likely to find Smash Brothers and Mario Kart here.
Bit of a grind, but it's a good time. Like others have said, the community is what makes this one fun. The amount of "freemium" upgrades they throw at you can be annoying, but I've yet to spend any actual money playing and I've enjoyed it so far. The occasional events that happen where you partner up are the best part of this game. Surprisingly social and knows just how to give you those little dopamine hits to keep you coming back.
The only rating I'm allowed to give this game is a 5 star because I platinumed it in one day. Absolute blast, 10/10 recommend. Creative, fun, adorable, and my kids LOVE it.
So my 5yo son and I just spent the last couple hours diving into this game having never played a Pikmin game before. It's an interesting concept and seems like it'll be fun and challenging as it progresses. It's intuitive and easy to pick up, controls are simple. My favorite part is that my son is just learning to read, so it's been amazing watching him play. "Daddy, I need 10 Pikmin for this one" "good job buddy, let's cout em together..." What a cool experience. Highly recommend if you've got younger kids, and I look forward to playing on my own too!
Absolutely loving this game so far. Hilarious concept, writing is simple but fun and unique. This game is Ori, but a roguelike. This game is Hades, but a platformer. Lots of unlocks, quests, and things to look for. Haven't gotten terribly far in the 5+ hours I've put in, but I'm looking forward to several, several more.
Easily one of my favorite indie games, such a silly but fun concept. The puzzles were challenging enough to make it interesting, and the mechanics are hilarious and simple. Zero complaints about this game.
One of the more beautiful videos game experiences I've ever enjoyed. What a work of art. Simple, clean, intriguing, and fun. Brilliant from start to finish.
Man I don't know how I slept on this game for so long. What an amazing way to game with your young kids! Mine are 4 and almost 6, and we have had an absolute blast working together and getting through the game. It also has plenty to collect for the completionist players as well, and I look forward to getting all stamps, stars, and flag pole tops. 10/10 recommend for any fan of Mario games, but especially those with kids!
Beautifully done game from start to finish. Gameplay is a blast! Mechanics are simple, intuitive, and interesting. Movement is smooth and it's really satisfying when you complete a puzzle. Story is fairly simple, but compelling and emotional. The graphics and audio really do an amazing job at grabbing and holding your attention and keeping you immersed in the game. Can't recommend it enough for anyone who enjoys platformers, and I hear that the sequel is even better, so I'm off to play that next!
I beat my head against this game for several hours in order to finish it only to find out that there are B sides and a lot of secrets to find. This game is rough! Super fun though, definitely recommend!
One of the coolest, most satisfying games I've played in a LONG while. Soundtrack, level design, enemies, weapons, ultimates... All the big things are done well, but even more impressive is all the small details they fine tuned. You can tell that a lot of love and care went into producing this. Impossible not to have fun playing this one.
3 difficulty levels ( Lamb, Goat, Beast) and I completed the story mode on "Goat", and there are challenges to go back and complete on each level as well. Lots of replay-ability simply just to get a higher score than your last run through. They will also be adding "Music Modding" which means you'll be able to add your own music choices to the game during your runs! I've also seen twitter activity surrounding Twitch overlays and viewer interactions, so I'm crossing my fingers for that kind of implementation as well.
Best $30 I've spent on a video game in a LONG time, and if you've got xbox gamepass, it's available there as well!
I LOVED this game, only reason it's getting a 4 star is because it got a bit tedious, but otherwise was a blast! Makes me want to go back and play it again...
I have almost 2,000 hours logged in this game. It's dark, strange, and has an insane learning curve, but this roguelike is HIGHLY addicting. It's not for everyone, but it I absolutely one of, if not my all time favorites.
This is a game that I get nostalgic about playing, I'll boot it up, play for one night, and then forget about for another several months on end. Great when you don't want to think about anything and just zone out while playing.
I play every morning. I'm severely addicted. I've only lost one day since I started. That was a sad day. I have a wordle channel in my discord where everyone shares their scores. It's a good time.
So uniquely interesting. FPS, speedruner, Deck builder, puzzle solver... This game has so many elements! Art style is neat, soundtrack and story are very well done...
I played this game religiously during the Destiny 1 days. Every Thursday night was raid night with the fireteam. These days, I don't have the time to grind it as much as is necessary to keep up with all the elements of the game, but I still respect it for what it is. Always up for jumping back in, but it's not a go-to anymore.
I was super excited to try out my first souls game... until I actually started playing. This game will steal thousands of hours of my life if I allow it. VERY difficult, but I can see the appeal.
I understand a few of the complaints, there are things I'd improve, specifically when it comes to the battle pass, cosmetic items, and progression. I'd love a few more maps and different ranked modes. Overall I have a blast playing this game. Catch me in some Tactical Slayer, that's my jam!
It's a blast with friends/family, gets pretty competitive. Not the biggest fan of the battle mode, it's more chaotic than fun imo. overall great game though!
This is one of those games I was REALLY into for like a week. I don't know why I don't play it more often, it really is a fun one. What Pokemon fan isn't gonna love an open world setting?
I played the story mode and loved it. A nice challenge for someone that's mediocre at games like myself. Playing with friends is a great time. Killer party game.
I'll still occasionally log in and catch a few Pokemon with my son. It'll never stop being fun, but I definitely don't play it as often as I did when it first came out.
The only reason I rated it so low is because I'm just no good at the game. I can't wrap my head around the building aspect of it. Like, at all. Lots of respect for the players that are capable.
Have always loved Mario Kart, since the SNES days. I just recently picked this up and I'm newly addicted. I play it with my son a lot, we have a great time.
Great game, I just don't dedicate a lot of time to it. Was fun for a while, but as someone with a more limited amount of gaming time, I'll opt for a game I'm more invested in.
